Mind Control

Mind Control is at the heart of all modern conflict both military and political and the use of political 'spin', distortions of the truth, economy with the facts etc. is well known. What people do not understand most often is that their very values and decisions are affected by means of this propoganda, at best they are being conditioned to accept things which otherwise they may question. One key example of this is man made co2 contributing significantly to climate change. Most people have no idea that this is still a theory, hotly debated around the world. It is taught in schools, it is reinforced in the news, in advertisements, in tv programs and Hollywood films to the extent that an entire generation simply accept taxation based on a hotly disputed theory, a taxation policy that is planned to be increased further with added levies and legislational impositions on energy consumption, transport and manufacturing.

The true power of mind control has been used throughout the ages in various forms although most often through the use of religious dogma. Sets of rules that the societal elite decree are the word of god and must be obeyed. This is what leads people to commit human sacrifice, die in wars, live in poverty and enter into strange and irrational covenants and agreements. Most importantly however it leads to obedience. If I am a high priest in Aztec times and I command that one of my people kills another in the name of making the sun come up and he does this I know I have absolute control over his mind. If I have an entire population supplicate to such demands, I know I have control over the entire population. From this point of view such sacrificial rites make absolute sense to those in command, in this case the high priests of the temple.

In more modern times a more subtle but ever more pervasive method of mind control is used. First harnessed to full effect in Nazi Germany, propoganda in the form of moving pictures was used to glorify the German Empire and ensure the full support of the German people.

By today's standard their propoganda was rather thin on the ground, on average the modern youth in western culture will spend the majority of their spare time watching TV, Films or Videos, as well as playing video games. All of this media is subject to product placement but less well known is message placement.

The idea that movies or TV do not affect people's development, perception or opinion is simply and absolutely wrong. It has been proven time and time again that it does, this is why most modern media is funded by corporate advertisements coercing the population to believe their message and buy their product. Not only is such mind manipulation used in the commercial breaks it is used during the programs, in sports it is used on the shirts, on the hoardings, even on the pitch, in films, soap operas and sitcoms, product placement is prevalent and more recently it has come to light that governments also use message placement. Paying script writers or producers to have characters espouse certain opinions or views.

This is also the reason that most major media companies are controlled by a very few sources.

They do this because they know it works and works well. It is tried and trusted. The internet has even more power than this to be used for propoganda and companies and governments employ full time bloggers and comment stooges to place messages in comment areas on news stories, on blogs and on forums in order to provide a strong perceived popular opinion in their favour. The internet has the extra advantage of undeclared censorship. Fifty people may leave a comment disagreeing with a newspaper article or blog but they are not approved so when the reader comes to see this he may see a couple of dissenting comments and a host of supportive ones, giving him or her the impression that most people are in favour of something when in fact the majority may not be.

Legislation to control the internet has been passed and will continue to be passed. The internet is already policed and monitored, it will only be a matter of time before it too is under complete control. At present distraction rules, the majority of internet users are not aware of or do not care about alternative media and news, they are gorging themselves with porn, voilence, and mindless entertainment - music, movies, 'funny' videos etc. There is nothing wrong with spending some time relaxing and enjoying things for the sake of it, however this is all they do and all the while not aware that the sport or tv show they are watching is laced with subliminal advertising and messages.

Of course in instances where the individual becomes awakened from the programming, legislative and violent coercion are used, first to silence dissent and then to eradicate it. Peaceful protests in so called 'free societies' in the west are met with an equal measure of police violence and media silence as one would expect in other so called despotic regimes such as China or Burma. The repression of freedom of protest and free speech is increasing.
