The UN United Nations was founded at the close of World War II and was intended to replace the League of Nations which had been founded at the close of World War I with a similar intention, what a success that was!

The UN has been so succesful that the world has been in a constant state of warfare ever since!

Current UN membership includes just about every sovereign nation in the world, more recently its resolutions lent to provide the UK with the excuse it required to invade Iraq despite the obvious lack of any solid intelligence about any threat that the nation posed. The excuse seemed to be that due to the inability of Iraq to comply with demands to produce evidence of its weapons of mass destruction it would be bombarded with weapons of mass destruction by the USA and the UK.

The fact that Iraq had no WMD meant that producing them for inspection was a rather tricky task and despite the fact that Saddam Hussain was open and honest about the fact that he had none, he was called a liar and the bombs rained down on Iraq anyway, turned out it was the bombers with the real WMDs who were actually lying, although the tyrannical regimes in the USA, UK and those controlling the UN meant that no justice was served in bringing justice to those responsible for this most dispicable of lies...given that it is the UN who is responsible for international justice through The International Court of Justice this is no surprise.

The UN is directly interlinked with the World Bank and IMF through the Economic and Social Council and also contains control and advisory structures for global Food and Agricultural policies (through UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation).

The World Bank and the World Health Organisation are agencies of the UN directing financial matters of worldwide significance and also issuing health policies which are usually adopted in members countries and whose advice is rarely called into question if ever at all by mainstream corporate media.
