The Bilderberg Group is named after a Hotel in Arnhem, Netherlands called the Hotel De Bilderberg which is where the first known meeting was held.

As with many of the New World Order groups, the overt explanation for its existence and even the orignal reason for the foundation of such a group was not objectionable in and of itself. It was reported to have been set up to promote a cross Atlantic relationship between the USA and Europe, particularly mindful of the burgeoning communist threat from China and the USSR amongst others.

The members were to be drawn from the political factions of each country, two in all, and these guests would be involved in forming a steering comittee to discuss pertinent global issues. The chairman of the Bildberg group is an unelected and private individual, the reason for the appointment of such a chair being based on unknown methods.

It is commonplace for attendees to be invited on more than one occasion, although there are always plenty of new invites to up and coming political leaders.

The Bilderberg group does not publicly issue a list of attendees and most often confirmation of attendence is provided by the individuals in question or by direct observation of their arrival at the said meetings. It is said that a directory of members from all previous meetings is available to attendees.

What makes the Bilderberg group so objectionable is that the issues being discussed are clearly huge global issues and they are being discussed en mass by the focus points of global power in a secretive and undisclosed manner. Involved in these meetings are also the heads of corporations, banking and finance. The only conclusion to be reached is that these people are seeking to influence world events in their favour. It is often a laughable irony that the common man seemingly thinks that these people are plotting secretly for his own good and with the best interest of the world at heart. At best this is naive.

While the Bilderberg organisation is very public in confirming that no organised policy making takes place it is quite clear that influencing decisions of global significance would take place at any such meeting. As these meetings are not open to public scrutiny the conclusion must be clear to any free thinking individual - the people behind the closed doors do not want the discussions that take place inside these meetings to become public.

In terms of conspiracy the coincidences of the political attendees of these meetings later rising to positions of global prominence is clear although on merit of the reason for any invite being issues in the first instance it is not suprising. It has often been cited as an approval ground for future governmental leaders to ensure that they are subscribing to the globalist views of the non political members, specifically the banking chiefs who are the real hands of power behind most governments.

Bilderberg Group Meeting in 2009 - the prediction was that they would discuss pushing the Irish into another Lisbon treaty vote with mass propoganda in favour and some economic hard time stick for good measure in order to get it passed, it got passed.

A small selection of notable attendees include President Gerald Ford, President Bill Clinton, Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Prime Minister Tony Blair, Prince Phillip, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell US secretaries of state, Paul Volcker - Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jean-Claude Trichet - President of the European Central Bank.

Of course they say they were aimed at reducing war and global conflict. Strange that since its inception there has been more war and more death as the result of war than ever before in the known history of mankind, so I guess they failed at that aim, but the financiers seem to have got a whole lot richer and the political leaders who attended seem to have got themselves elected.
